Milk Thistle's main constituent appears to be the substance known as Silymarin. This has the unique function of being able to act directly on the cells of the liver producing a liver-protective effect. Silymarin has been shown to be able to prevent liver cell damage, through stimulating the enzymatic function of liver cells and encouraging the regeneration of the liver.
Ingredients:
Each vegetable capsule provides: Raw Milk Thistle Herb Powder 300mg, Standardised Milk Thistle Seed Powdered Extract 175mg(total flavonoids including silymarin 140mg [80%], PhytO2X ä (powdered blend of beta-carotene prep. and ascorbic acid) PhytO2X ä is a special blend of natural antioxidants, the purpose of which is to maintain the freshness of the ingredients. Encapsulated with natural ingredients: vegetable magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose. Vegetable capsule shell: hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose.
Dosage:
For adults one (1) to three (3) vegetable capsules daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
