Oregons Wild Harvest Certified Organic Kelp is grown of the coast of Iceland. These clean ocean waters allow for the organic certification of this quality sea vegetable. The organic status assures that each harvester must monitor their beds for sustainability. They must keep their freshly picked plants clear of possible contaminants throughout the harvest transport, drying and packing process. The plants are tested for contaminants such as E Coli, salmonella, yeasts and molds. They are randomly inspected to insure complaince.
