Description:
Iron is one of the most common nutrients at risk of deficiency among women, since the iron contained in red blood cells which is otherwise recycled is lost during menstruation. Iron is basic to all life processes, since without it oxygen cannot be transported round our bodies. It is also a component of enzymes and proteins and is needed for the metabolism of B vitamins. Calcium and copper must be present for iron to function properly. The iron in this product is in the form that mimics the iron containing components found in food. It is therefore well absorbed and much less likely to cause constipation than many other iron products.
