	Description: Vitamin K2 (MK-7) has been shown to play an important role in both cardiovascular and bone health. Vitamin K refers to a group of vitamins with similar structures. These are vitamin K1, known as phylloquinone or phytonadione, and vitamin K2, known as menaquinones, MK. Vitamin K1 is synthesised by plants, vegetable and algae and has a low bioavailability. Vitamin K2 is synthesised by gut bacteria and has a high bioavailability. Vitamin K2 can be found in fermented foods, particularly cheese and natto, Japanese fermented soybeans.
