Gymnema Sylvestre is an Ayurvedic herb known for maintaining sugar metabolism. Its name itself, "Gur- Mar", literally means "sugar destroying" illustrating its usefulness in conditions of blood sugar imbalance. Gymnema has been used for centuries to treat glycosuria conditions.
