Minami Nutrition Epacor Science is an omega-3 ethyl ester medication. EPACOR is an exact replica of a NHS approved medication called OMACOR which has been scientifically proven and accepted to reduce the production of a type of fat called ‘triglycerides’ , particularly LDL which is the ‘bad fat’ compared to HDL which is a ‘good fat’ - not all fats are bad for you.

EPACOR is comprised of eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), the two major beneficial omega-3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA are more commonly referred to as ‘omega-3’ fatty acids which are found in marine sources such as oily fish. EPACOR also contains a Vitamin E anti oxidant called tocopherol to help increase bioavailability.

Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA are ‘essential’ fatty acids, meaning the body cannot produce them itself and must be obtained through diet. Omega-3 fatty acid research has been ongoing for many years with more than 10,000 case studies involving the use of omega-3 fatty acids. Contraindications

Omega-3 ethyl esters such as EPACOR (Minami Nutrition) is not recommended to be used by patients taking anticoagulants such as warfarin, as omega-3 essential fatty acids may increase bleeding. It is advised that you consult your medical doctor before taking omega-3 essential fatty acids.
