Bronchitis
Description
An Inflammation of the bronchial tubes, bronchitis causes
pasSage s to become progressively more clogged, intensifying
irritation. This causes a productive Cough, characteristic
to bronchitis. Smokers constitute 75 percent of chronic
bronchitis cases, and there is no doubt Smoking is the chief
cause of the condition.
Acute bronchitis usually
lasts about ten days. If bronchitis lasts for three or more
months, chronic bronchitis has developed. Excessive bronchial
mucous secretions are common, producing a chronic or recurrent
Cough.
