Bad Breath
Description
Bad breath (halitosis) is a foul odour from the mouth that
may have, at its source, any of the following conditions:
Constipation
Dental Caries
Stomatitis
Tonsillitis
Abscess of the lungs
Owing to the reduction
in saliva during sleep, halitosis may be traced to an odorous
food, tobacco or poor oral hygiene and seems to result from
the metabolic activity of bacteria present in oral plaque,
especially on the coating of the tongue.
