Bioforce (A. Vogel) Berberis

Description

Berberis increases the production of bile and improves its flow from the gallbladder into the digestive tract, lessening the tendency for the stored bile to stagnate and thicken. It is used for gallstones due to this positive effect on bile flow. It is also anti-infective and antibiotic making it useful in digestive complaints where infection may be present. Berberis may stimulate the spleen and pancrease as well as cleansing and protecting the membranous lining of the digestive tract.

Ingredients

Tincture of Berberis vulgaris dried bark, extracted in alcohol (68% v/v)

Contraindications

Please seek medical advice if pregnant. It should not be used in high doses in cases of low blood pressure. It should not be taken alongside other medication for gallstones, liver problems, kidney disease and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract without consulting the doctor concerned.

Directions

10-15 drops in a little water three times daily
